It was enriching to learn from other survivor leaders during the launch of the United States advisory council on human trafficking Annual Report 2022 in Washington DC.

The launch signified the importance of survivor-informed guidelines in adopting best practices to uphold the rights of victims of human trafficking as outlined in the Crime Victims’ Rights Act (CVRA); the launch highlighted the reflection and recommendations on (online child sex trafficking, reducing the demand for Sex and labor trafficking /investigation and prosecution and systematic barriers.

Collaboration and survivor engagement must be the foundation of national and interagency efforts to combat human trafficking.
Thanks, #osce /ODIHR /Istac, for making my presence possible.
